Ernco Group began trading in 2006 and was initially involved in the provision of project management and risk management services.

In 2009, the company from its newly built facility at Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh began the production of branding signage and temporary traffic management signs. In parallel with the commencement of sign production the company started distributing temporary traffic management and site safety products. These new product ranges complimented the continuing health & safety and risk management services which by then included the design of temporary traffic management plans.

In 2018 the company made substantial investment in aluminium processing equipment to enable the production of sign blanks for supply to signage outlets throughout Ireland. By 2020, having more than ten years’ experience in temporary road signs and more recently in aluminium processing, the decision was taken to expand into the permanent road sign sector. The latest printing and fabrication equipment was commissioned, along with design software packages for both Ireland and UK. This allowed Ernco to supply a complete range of road signs including information signs, warning signs, and regulatory signs for Local, Regional/National, and Motorway class roads.

Ernco Group moved to formalise its quality assurance and product testing procedures and in July 2021 was certified to ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. Shortly thereafter, the company obtained product certifications to the EN12899-1:2017 standard enabling CE/UKCA marking on all its permanent road and traffic management signs.

Today Ernco Group is well established in the signage and traffic management products markets in Ireland. The company offers a huge range of products to its customers in retail, public departments, and to road and infrastructure construction and servicing contractors.
