Construction Stage (Phase) Safety & Health Plans

Construction Stage (Phase) Safety & Health Plans are required for certain construction projects, and will set out how safety and health will be managed on the project including:

  • Project description & programme of works
  • Details of key Persons and Organisations, including Client, Project Supervisors, Co-Ordinators, Contractors, and Consultants
  • Details of existing records and drawings for site
  • Arrangements for communications and exchange of information between parties
  • Safety & health goals and monitoring arrangements
  • Arrangements for consultation with workforce
  • Arrangements for dealing with design changes
  • Selection and control of contractors
  • Site security, Induction, & Site Rules
  • Welfare & First Aid arrangements
  • Emergency arrangements
  • The production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • The reporting of accidents and near misses
  • Dealing with Particular risks
  • Dealing with Non-Particular risks
  • Dealing with health risks

Where a Client has been appointed as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) for a project in the Republic of Ireland, Ernco-Safety can assist in the development of the Construction Stage Safety & Health Plans to comply with Regulation 16 of The Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. Where a Client has been appointed as Principal Contractor for a project in Northern Ireland, Ernco-Safety can assist in the development of the Construction Phase Plan in compliance with Regulation 12 of The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016.
